About Me
How It All Started, and Where It’s Going
I found yoga because I wanted an escape.
I was a new mom, newly moved to Hawai‘i with my family of three, far from friends and family and struggling to find my ground. At the time, signing up for a 60-minute yoga class felt like a simple way to guarantee myself a little space away from everything.
What I thought would be a temporary escape became something much more.
Yoga changed the way I experienced my life. It taught me to notice, to appreciate, and to connect—not only with what surrounded me, but with myself. Over time, movement became less about stepping away from life and more about learning how to meet it differently.
That is part of what led me to create ENGI.
ENGI is not simply about taking a class or following someone else’s guidance. It is about discovering your own path. The idea is rooted in 縁, the connections and circumstances that shape us, and 起, the beginning, arising, or movement that grows from them.
I am especially drawn to working with people who are already showing up. You are trying, moving, practicing, building, doing—and yet something still feels stuck. Sometimes the answer is not to do more, but to understand more clearly why you are doing it and how you want to move forward.
My work is to help create the space, structure, and support for that discovery.
So you can move with intention, connect more deeply with yourself, and feel aligned with purpose.
You’re already showing up. Maybe you just need direction.
Sometimes progress isn’t about doing more. It’s about understanding what you’re working toward.
Through personalized yoga and strength coaching, I help you explore the parts of your practice that feel stuck, build strength and mobility with purpose, and create clear goals that help your practice continue to grow.
